Interesting? I would say worrying!. I have the exact same problem. Get hold of Marinabrian, and let me know what you find.
I am starting to think it could be the same here, but I am trying to get a system set up so I can talk to the ECU before I send it off!.

Thanks for the update . From what I've read elsewhere, I'm sure your car is in safe hands and will be resolved before too long. It's frustrating having to wait, but as you say, you can't collect it anyway, so nothing lost in the long term.

I look forward to any updates you may get.

Not yet, the car will be winging its way over to mine at some point to see if T4 can pinpoint the issue.

Yes, the guy who has done all the work doesn't like the idea of letting the car go until it's as good as it can get, so I put out a call to Trikey and he'll hopefully be seeing it soon to let his T4 loose on it in case that can iron out the problem. One guess at the moment is a wiring fault because the car has an LPG system (albeit non-functioning at the moment) which means the loom has been cut into in various places. If T4 can't help the next plan is to substitute a spare engine loom. Watch this space!

It's certainly re-assuring to hear that the guy who did the work is persisting with a proper diagnosis . Hopefully, with Trikeys help, all will be resolved.

as its had a stripdown then the upper manifolds and alloy manifolds have been off. bear in mind that as it was on lpg it would have had jets tapped into them.usually on the alloy inlet manifolds. these must be airtight as any air will indeed cause a missfire on the whole bank in question as the mixture cannot be controled especially in closed loop. i would check if these have been disturbed causing extra air influx. you have to be sure they are not sucking air. if the system is ventura then the former will not apply unless you have inherited a leak elsewhere. otherwise your electrical splices into the cars loom could be a problem connection as moisture can get in there and corrode the joins. however if it was done professionaly it would have been solder jointed at the splices and heatshrinked. .... good luck !

SOLVED!!!
the winner of the chromed tropical helmet!!
Me!
Just goes to show what utter NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- you can get yourself into if you are not disciplined and logical.
Guilty as accused. I have tested everything. It would fire when a spark plug was inserted in the lead and tested outside of the engine, but not when in the receptor, there the spark would jump.
I feel worse than I sound!

As usual i can't get the image to post.
