Tonight, I put a 20 amp fuse in F8, and quickly pulled it out again for fear someone would call the fire brigade. As far as I know that is the first time in at least 3 years that the FBH has started up.

Yes, this is not the weather to be crawling around under cars- I am still recovering from doing the front wheel bearings on a certain motoring journalist's Citroën XM back end of last week- and that was under cover in my garage (the job has been photographed for a possible future issue of Car Mechanics magazine - fame at last!).

Good luck with the clutch change - let us know how it goes, as I plan to put an LUK or B&B in mine in the New Year, since my car, as you know, has been well and truly touched by the 'hand of wad'.

Cheers

Pete

Old v6 is a none starter . undone the nuts and jacked it up and then let it down again . after a few times the wheels started to move.
mind you on the good side I was nice and warm doing it . .
put rain sports on the old v6 as I had lost the front end and back end a couple of times in heavy rain.
so with the winter kicking in thought it was a good idea to stick them on the new v6.

Yep I've done one lying in the snow Bri - no fun at all.

Currently Big Ron is up for a pre MOT check, Mrs Noc's 75 needs a service, and there is work to do on both of my daughter's Peugeot Expert vans, one of which is a non starter.

All outdoors work. Happy days.

Took the top hose (complete with inline stat) off my donor car and fitted it to daily drive. Fingers crossed, I'll be toasty warm next week.

Cleaned and flushed out the Plenums on the new Tourer as well as changing the pollen, air and PCV filters (Pollen and PCV looking like they had never been done) as well as treating it to a good wash.

Tomorrow.... Oil and oil filter, fuel filter and other little bits n bobs
