Lo-line IPK Virginisation
I know I've seen the info on here before, but can I find it? No!
I'd like to get my lo-line IPK virginised as it's not original to the car and subsequently throws up the classic 'Err' on the trip meter. It's off a V6 and mine's a diesel and that the dials don't match bugs me! I've got a proper diesel version coming from the 'Bay, so that's the one I'll need sorting. Who's a good bet to sort this for me? I know I'll need a T4 session afterwards to get the IPK and LSM talking to each other. Thanks in advance Mike

Id love for the IPK/LSM etc "Virginisation" process to be publicised, with a step by step guide, and details what you need. It will really help with the longativity of these cars.

Hi Steve
That's a fancy-dan bit of kit there! The 'new' unit turned up on Saturday, so I'm going to drop it in the car later this week and run the self test. It'll then be ready for me to box back up and send off to whoever can run the 'virginisation' process. Jamie mentioned it's just a case of 'flashing' the Eprom chip, but I guess it's a little more involved than that. If all that fails, I'l swap the dials over so at least the red line and fuel gauge are correct for the car and then get the 'Err' sorted the next time a T4 is at a Nano.
