No interior lights or message warning came up.
Looks like the pumps are gone so partially stripped & I'll fit spares in the morning & report back.

Nothing like preaching to the converted..... but are the plenums drains clear? A faulty ECM can cut the power to both LP fuel pumps intermittently.

My missus was a wee bit more fortunate with hers. She arrived home late from work so went straight to her craft class in the village. When she came out the car wouldn't start as the in tank pump had failed.

Funny thing, well not so funny actually but the next day I was running my wee grand daughter to her nursery class and my brake pipe burst at the end of the road.

So with that I claim the record for two 75's breaking down within 24 hours.
I had to borrow my sons BMW 1 series til I got the 75's fixed.

Hope you get yours back on the road soon Wullie.

Well replacements have got it running but something's not right.
It now starts & I thought it was ok until attempting to get to work it keeps cutting out randomly, I swapped over the relays thinking it maybe that but it's still the same.
It'll start run for a few secs & cut out then next time I can go for a few miles then it'll do it again switch ignition off & back on & away we go again till the next time.
Worried it would cut out & not restart I parked it up & I'll recover it tomorrow or Thursday for further investigations.

also check the fuel filter as it may be clogged or have air trapped in it if ITP failed. quick bleed with hoses off may be answer

I always thought that these cars were self priming/bleeding.

Hi
Try disconnecting the intank pump and after making sure you have well over 1/4 tank of diesel take it for a run
I have seen a similar problem and after disconnecting the intank pump the car runs fine
May be just coincidence but worth a try !
You still have to find the problem though , possibility high pressure pump,?
Regards
Steve

Check the fuel cut off switch, it might be temperamental, bit of a long shot but a slight possibility mate
