Default Central Locking Failure

Today suddenly on my 75 Tourer the central locking stopped working completely won’t lock or unlock anything not from the fob or the switch near hand break, the fob still operate the alarm/immobilizer.
Anybody any idea what might take it down like that? Would be grateful for any help.

Default Central Locking Failure

Yesterday the central locking on my 75 tourer stopped working completely, won’t lock or unlock anything from the key fob or the switch near the handbrake. Had no problems with it before now suddenly nothing. Immobiliser/alarm still working a manual locking is OK
Anybody got any idea what might have caused this

Key fob battery failing ? - do you have a 2nd key to test.

Would that cause an inoperative centre button?
Is the led on your key fob illuminating? If yes
Check fuses first.
Cabin fusebox according to Haynes.

Hello Phil,

If neither the centre console switch (central locking) or the key fob buttons (superlocking) work then we can discount the key fob battery.

The master switch on the centre console is wired directly to the BCU. Do you have any other body related faults?

Simon
