Well as it was the ZT's 16th birthday today, I decided to treat it by filling it up with juice, as tomorrow will see it's replacement collected.
Now that's not what I bet anyone expected me to be doing Brian |

Elgar the 75
Yesterday the windscreen was replaced at Autoglass, Gateshead. Today I cleaned and vacuumed a couple of carpet mats.
Elgar is making a funny noise. The garage thinks it's a worn wheel bearing. I have to drive to south west Scotland Thursday. I think I'll take the other car. Is that your Mini Brian? Yours, M. |

i hope the rain sensor works with the new screen, as Autoglass' parent company have a habit of fitting cheap far east glass. The rubbish they fitted into the ZT is already beginning to delaminate, and I've had to change the cars coding to delete the rain sensing wipers as the prism has an inclusion in the adhesive. I can take a spin around the block in Elgar and see what I make of the bearing noise if you like? If it's a rear bearing I have those in stock and it's an easy enough job to change them, I have a front one too, but I no longer have my press as it was stolen Brian |

Disconnected the alarm horn as after standing for 2 weeks the tourer decided that the rear passenger door was open. Hopefully it's just the cold weather.
Started the car for 20 min but after a few minutes alarm goes off and rear right door open symbol on the dash. Something to look at next year, |

Today I found the door lock frozen solid. Key wouldn't even go in. And my key fob only has a working lock button. Hmm I thought, let's open the boot. Boom and the car alarm is blaring. I'm not sure why... Maybe I superlocked the car with the fob...The neighbours then watched as I crawled into the boot and did my best to squeeze myself through the rear arm rest. I almost ended up wedged in! A noisy start to the day.
