Different switch location
Looking to retrofit an electric rear blind in my ZT and currently have a 4 hole switch panel fitted but having trouble finding a 5 hole to fit the blind switch. I've started to try think about an alternative location for it?

If you only have the passenger cup holdet the drivers side is a blank you could use, sure there's pics of some who have done it on here somewhere

The outline of the 5th hole should be outlined on the rear of the switch panel.
If you’re careful you can cut the hole out yourself. |

Yup, I did this for a member at a Nano meet with a Dremel. Steady hand and a good pair of eyes or glasses

I have altered a few to accommodate more switches.
However, only use the markings as a guide for the correct position. The size is wrong

I clamp another panel face to face, then scribe the outline of the hole to be cut on the original.
Then chain drilling, a rub up with a half round file, followed by final dressing with production paper. Easy, if a little time consuming Brian |

I used a dremel tool to do a couple of mine. Started by marking the oval shape I want to cut out, then drilling small holes all around my marking and popping that out, and then using a sanding attachment to smoothen out the oval shape. Make the cut out size smaller than you need, then you can keep sanding it out until it's the right size. |
