Default Help. Flat battery and key won’t open the door.

I have a rover 75 cdti tourer facelift model and the battery is dead and key won’t open the door. Any ideas?

Searched and people say you can open bonnet somehow? Please help.

have you a tow bar and towing electrics? I think you can charge the battery via towing electrics but I would need to look up the wiring to tell you which pins

Jack up the car and remove the under-tray if you have one.

Clip a battery charger to the main terminal on the starter motor. ( Red lead, positive. )--Clip the negative lead to a metal part of the cars bodywork.---

Switch on the charger and open your doors as normal.

Easy peasy.----

Won't the key open it manually? It should do, I've taken the battery off mine in the past, locked and unlocked the doors with the key

Does the starter motor have an integral solenoid inside? Just wondering 'cos I've never properly looked?
