Default Well 7 yrs ago today ....

I brought Rover - a Royal Blue 75 club tourer as a6 months stop gap car.

7 yrs & 63000 miles later and he's now the longest car I've ever owned.

Now on 213000 miles and still going strong ( would have been to the moon but for the pandemic )

Stopped counting the money spent when it got to 4 times the purchase price !

But only not started twice - both with a dead battery so I can't complain.

Many thanks to this forum and the Nano crew for all the help and advise on keeping the old lad going.

Most defiantly in the careworn work horse category rather than immaculate show pony but who cares happiness comes from behind the wheel

Few pics from the years below (apologies for the sizes)

Scott

Who cares about show pony status. SPM are what it's all about (smiles per mile ). And it still looks great by the way!

Hi Scott.

Doesn't time fly when you're under a Rover - oops, sorry, that should read

Enjoying a Rover .

She's a good old girl - I think she's probably a keeper .

My latest green one is only about 130K behind you and if I can keep her going for 7 years I'll be a happy man.

Take care mate.

Marvellous motors aren’t they Scott. Never seem to age in design, and some of the colours can still not be beaten even after all those years. I particularly like the blues, as yours is. Might get to see you and it at a meet soon, who knows.
