It was never given the go ahead as a 75 so as to not compete with the E46 models.
BMW bolstered that too, and also had reduced the height of the front indicators of the original 75 design, to such an extent that lowering the car later wasn’t possible without redesigning the whole bumper.
This is why after BMW, under the new MG-R, Peter Stevens relocates the indicators on the new redesigned ZT bumper to a higher position to allow for the drop in ride height.

March 2000 rover 75 sport. A reg check however reveals it to be a 2.5 Connie, however we know that "prototypes" like this were based on an existing model underneath similar to s525ovp being photographed with zt fittings.
Wonder whatever happened to this sport???

MoT history doesn't look at all bad. It had done 109k miles at the last MoT.

That's got a V8 decal under the side repeater....[edit] but I've now looked at all the images in the advert, it's a V6
