Default Key Fob

Hi Learned enthusiasts
My key fob lock button has broken and pinged off. It now looks sad with a bit of sellotape on it. I only have the one.
Is it possible to buy a new casing and just swap internal bits or am I looking at bending over and paying big bucks.

Thanks in advance

You can get the casings on ebay for not a lot. Just remember to transfer the transponder from the back half of your old casing (you can get it out with tweezers) or re-use the back half of your old unit if it isn't broken.

Pull out the key blade, ease the two halves apart with a thin blade, starting from the rounded end. They're tight but they do come apart in one piece with a little care.

I bought complete key from e-bay for £3 and had it cut for about £5,changed transponder and battery over. Kept old key for emergency.

There is an eBay link here for the case.

As said, don't forget the little transponder here:

And the virtual beer for Lord of Hog is here:

Why didn't you just put the buttons from the new fob onto your old one No need to change the blade
