Default Hiline speedo input

HI guys
had to do a unknown run yesterday and thought i would use the hiline i installed,
entered destination but had no voice instructions and very slow tracking, after a little research i think i have not cnnected the 2 pin speedo input plug,
after removing the speedo to try and find a matching plug and not finding one i failed and gave up.,
Any ideas as to where it should be?

car is a facelift zt-t cdt

Thanks

i thought this was for the speedo input as everything else works on the system just not the navigation voice/tracking.

there's a small plug that goes into the main body harness near the ash try....it picks up a signal from the ABS unit.

Very early cars didn't have it...

The feed from the ABS ecu should be in the ISO connector of the main car loom.

Still cant recall a 2 pin plug like that anyway except on the cigar socket??

This is the location of the signal that is taken from the ABS unit.

Plug C0982 should be the car loom and C0389 should be in your new hi line loom.

On occasion the grey/green is missing from C0982 and is tucked away in the loom.

Ahhh i think i know what may have happened, the OP has a facelift car and has probably fitted an earlier loom, i have a full face lift hiline loom here all set up in my living room and all signals go through the standard ISO connector C0098

I fitted a hi line system to a facelift 75 and it worked fine while in the garage but when on the move the cursor on the screen did not move, when you stopped the car for a few minutes the screen updated to the correct position.

This was because the grey/green from the ABS unit was not connected.

You will need plug C0982 to be connected to your system to get the hi line to work on the move.

Yes i do have a 1999 pre ppd hiline loom on my facelift.

so i should have a plug the other side? i have been looking behind the speedo, it may be there as there is a nokia bluetooth kit (not factory fit)stuffed in that side and as such the stereo plug is stuffed behind that and i have adapted the other end of the nokia kit to the hiline loom, i will have a look and see if any of it flows through the nokia kit.

I will get a pic of the 2 pin plug i have in the loom for you phil as i have no idea what it feeds.

Thanks
