Default Debadging

Well, I finally got my ZT

Just wondering the best way to remove the badges - specifically the "ZT" and "CDTI" one (not sure about the Union Jack yet).

On my last car I just peeled the off, just wondering if it's this simple again?

They do peel off but they take quite a lot of force to break the glue.

I'd be tempted to buy some sticky stuff remover and spray behind the badge first to loosen it.

when i bought the 75, whoever had had it in the past, had removed all the badges. all the wheel centres are missing.

i've since put back the 2 small badges at the back, the boot badge, grill badge and finally this week, the airbag badge. he'd also covered up the 'rover name' on the sterio with a non-smoking sign. also each window.

i came to the conclusion that he didn't want to be reminded that it was a rover. why did he buy it then?

Some people just don't like badges - they spoil the look imo.

My last car looked much better with a "smooth" boot and i'd like to do the same on this.

I debadged my last laptop, even my screens - they are just not my sort of thing at all.

Yep whatever floats yer boat
Pour Hot water over the area.
It allows the glue to soften leaving very little residue to peel off afterwards.
Or a Hairdryer has the same effect
