And I've cruised around in the ZT today, A/C cranked up to 3 degrees, soaking up the sounds of my youth in the CD changer, wearing a pair of Raybans and some cool new threads

So that's the cruise control line fault sorted, the last piece of the jigsaw hopefully.

A bit more of the same tomorrow perhaps

So last evening after no less than 170 miles coded to the ZT, I removed Steve's ECM from test duties.

The immobilisation data was reverted to that of Steve's car, along with a couple of minor tweaks to the content stored in the flash memory

I posted it this morning, so hopefully Steve should receive it tomorrow, plug it back in, and hurtle off in a completely new way

Before refitting, I would suggest that a good rodding of the plenum drains takes place, as the faults on the ECM were caused by water damage.

I look forward to hearing how Steve finds the car

Great work Brian, can't thank you enough mate. I'll get it plugged in and report back.

Will certainly be checking my plenums on a very regular basis in future

So I refitted the ECU to my car last night. Despite it having been stood for the best part of a month (as i'd been away on holiday before the issue occured) it started first time

Took it for a quick spin and it feels like a new car. Lovely and smooth and the turbo now seems to kick a lot harder than before.

Big thank you Brian, you are a true gent. Car now back on the road and ready for a trip to Devon next week.

Excellent news Steve !!

Enjoy your holiday to Devon, and your cruise control should work too if everything else is OK with your car

All the best

I couldn't possibly comment about that, but suffice to say I *may* have inadvertently forgotten to revert to NNW001521 as per before repair.

Besides NNW006990 is a lot more fun
