I monitor the Traffic On Major Roads I use B4 I go out on the Internet (Perfect for the A55 at the Moment up here with Major Road Works) as you can watch all the cameras for free, But they dont work in areas where there is no street lighting at night, very poor resolution. I also monitor on way home using Laptop in Car using the Internet via my card or Wi Fi all for free. (contract card) You do need to know the locations and then just program them in for speed! The Idea should catch on though, but how long before the Councils want money for there Camera info then up goes the price like most things.
Different areas have Different addresses this is the M4 in South Wales, North Wales on A55 has constant Live Pictures Many other areas have 5 - 15 second refresh times. Some are also in Black & White. http://www.british-towns.net/welsh/t...h_wales_M4.htm Also : http://www.traffic-wales.com/traffic?tab=1&mode=current Just do searches for Live Cameras for your area some good some bad.
