what if...... I would take off the switch that is connected to the switch pedal and connect the wires... I mean all the switch does is deactivate the cruise control when you use the clutch pedal. Right? Though this may sound tricky I think I would have used either the brake or the throttle first anyway, thus deactivating the cruise...

Any ideas?

couldn't a brake switch be used and just use one set of connections? But one idea might be to just lock it in position somehow. My brake switch slips out of position quite often and every time I push it back in it works ok for several months. I'm considering wedging it in position permanently somehow. I cant work out why they designed the thing to be so easy to move.

If you were changing down or up a gear you would push down on the clutch, your foot would not be on the throttle - you would not use the brake to change gear.

If it did not need the clutch switch it would not be there.

Unfortunately for you lot, we are now stuck behind a broken train. We'll be here for quite a while but I don't care, I'm now on overtime.
