If you want fitting too then http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/ is fairly reasonable, and they should offer fitting fairly close to you (he hopes!).

I was looking at Camskill for mine, and after paying £150 for 4x Meteors including delivery (I got a discount for being cheeky and ringing up, then paying by credit card - it saves them Paypal and eBay fees!) I was even considering some decent pieces or rubber, although I've been told the Falken and Avons are just as good.

When I bought my gridspokes they had small marks, only took me an hour to paint and laquer them. like new.
,

It was Me who bought these two !!!
Just hope they are not damaged as the seller I purchased them from also got them from......guess....... the zwarehouse!!!

(If you look on his feedback he bought a set of 4, maybe he only needed 2)

I wonder if he did (or nearly did!) what I did and got 4 for £150, then selling them on for £100 means he got a pair for £50 - bargin! Either that or he bought a job lot and will be selling them on eBay for quite some time now!

Scratches to my original alloys, from least damage to worst. Having seen these pics I think the 5p piece gives a good indication of the "damage" itself. The first one only has a very small piece of lacquer missing, the 2nd one a slightly peppered scratch, and the last one a slight dent. The colouring is due to my NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- photograhic skills and that the fact that it was getting dark when i got them from the garage.

I haven't checked anything other than the face of the alloys (they are well wrapped in the original rover covering), but they look fine.

Anyway suffice to say that the new ones are all clean and tidy.

I bought a supposedly NEW set of alloys from fleeBay last year (different seller) and 3 of them had "flats" on the rims as though they had been dropped from the first floor of a parts department!! Going by the bolt holes they had not been fitted previously.

If you thought those were bad, you should have seen one of the wheels Zwarehouse sent me! To be fair though, the damage wasn't apparant from outside the wrapping (which was undamaged) and looked more like a defect with the manufacturing process rather than accident damage.

Like you, I had no problem with sorting the issue, and they allowed me to keep the damaged wheel (which is now being refurbed for use as a spare).

All in all, I was impressed with the service.

I think there is a lot of shop soiled stuff around on eBay, sometimes the sellers are unaware of the damage underneath the original packaging.
