Screw on ones are for the V8's only

The rest of the range have a push fit (two variations)

More problems.

Bought a white one off eBay, but I removed my gearknob and it's yellow?!

The white one is just a white collar inside, whereas my yellow one has clips and splines and stuff inside?!

Help!

Can you take a picture of the gear lever shaft without the knob on and the inside of the yellow one

Only ever heard of white or black ones.

It may be a ZS one, as ZR/V8 are screw on ones

Excuse the bad pictures.

The shaft and insert in my standard gear knob is a dull yellow

One I bought off eBay is pure white inside

Side by side comparison

The one on the left is what my car came with - it's not a screw on one. It goes all the way down, tap it a bit and it locks in.

Sorry, miss typed my reply, the one on the right is a screw on one. They are uncut in the factory and cut a thread when you screw them on.
