Default ""check engine" warning light

hello ,can anyone give me advice,just driving home and the message came up briefly for a second check engine then went off i,v got home car driving fine,checked oil and water,temperature guage ok,is there anything else I could check,not been mechanical minded.or could it just be a blip,any advice would be appreciated

Mine does that as well, I just open the bonnet and make sure the engine is still there. ( as per the 'check engine' message)

Been fine ever since.

I'm sure it's just a blip

It was a VIS motor problem on mine. Cleared the code and its been fine since
