My 75's Serpents have had 10 years fighting with kerbs and are looking a bit shabby The body has had a few supermarket dents and one of the wings has been resprayed (Not very well) I make it sound much worse than it is but I have decided to repair the wheels my self but the rest of the 'damage' would mount up to several hundred pounds and it's due a cambelt in 2 years so I am going to need to save for that! Keep you car Phil it's so unusal to see monogram 75 you will kick your self if you sell it because you won't be able to replace it easily!

If you realy love the car then keep her, i'm sure your never get another one like it. After all you spend more time in your car than a kitchen, unless your the head chef of the house.

Further to my last... Will a new kitchen add any significant value to your house? Especially with house prices falling?

Guaranteed it may not be to the taste of any new potential buyers.......

I don't know why she wants a new kitchen as I don't think she even knows where the old one is!

Our current kitchen is 28 years old, we will be staying in our current house for at least 8 years so I can understand her wanting a new kitchen.

How can we advise without a view of the supposed problem?

Ok, tomorrow..

I have tried to convince her that it is an early 80's original feature and should be retained to be in keeping with the style of the house but that hasn't worked!

Seems a logical argument.... but then, I suppose the sofa is not a good place to sleep!!

There is another option, plenty of companies catering for it.... Replace the fascias (cupboard doors etc). The kitchen layout is the same, but looks brand new - a fraction of the cost

Then it boils down to - who/what do you love most?
