I have a source of new ones but won't be purchasing them as even though new OEM Boxed wants £249 + VAT each for them!
Dare say they will be on EBay soon..........

So without this switch there would be no point of getting powerfolds.

As stated in a earlier post/thread,
they will be available at around the £115 Inc VAT mark again from XPart but at present no delivery dates I'm afraid.

I assume if Xpart were to get more they would go to the company who made them originally? I tried ALPS this week in the hope of some sort of result. They basically said they'd finished with them and to try SAIC.

Anyone have a phone number?

More and more parts are coming in from that direction.
Which in one sense is very Good for both the members and our Cars.

I have fitted the powerfolds from smc to my ZTT. I could not get hold of a switch pack so bought the ign activated auto switch from Eurorover.

Now it is fitted I am prefer this option. When you start the car the mirrors fold out and fold back when you park.
There is an overide switch if you want to leave them folded out. So do not be put off over the lack of oem switches fit the Eurorover option instead.

Had Rover designed it this way you not want a manually operated switch which you would most likely forget to press anyway!!

Not at all, You can use the EuroRover kit which folds them in and out automatically (a la` mercedes and BMW). It's a very straight forward installation job.

If you can't get hold of Eurorover, talk to Les @ SMC as he was looking and getting a kit made to go with the mirrors.

I've done one, and got one more to do, when I get time...

I have found out the hard way that the autofold kit draws 120ma even when the car is switched off.

My car was parked up for 4 weeks and the new calcium tech battery was as flat as a pancake. I investigated the quiescent current and found after allowing 20 mins for all the systems to power down that there was 120ma draw and 20ma draw with the autofold kit connected and not connected.

So be warned.

I am now looking once again for an original oem switch.
