Cathy has confirmed to me that the new units will have rear connectivity for an iPod, so I will definitley be getting one after 10th December (when the new units are due in) - with all options added.

With IPOD connectivity at the rear and RDS I definitely want one - with TMC as an option.

Don't want TV - cannot see the point in a car - or am i missing something?

what is ipod connectivity? If it's a simple line in; then that can't be classed as Ipod connectivity- I have my head unit with ipod connectivity and granted it's an expensive pioneer but you can get access to all playlists etc on the head unit- that's what I would call ipod connectivity.

In a recent e-mail to me, Cathy has confirmed the the new units will have rear connectivity giving full control for iPods (i.e. not just a line in).

Hope this helps,

Cliff

I must admit, I have just covered my Symphony with a full face walnut kit and am loath to see it go as it looks so nice. As these new units seem straightforward to install, I will keep both, using the new unit when I am in a "gadget" mood, and the Symphony when in more traditional '75 mood. Potty? Very likely!

Thanks for clarifying about the ipod connection - thats what I had hoped was meant.

If Cathy could supply a spare faceplate you could have a walnut covering made for it too!

Just remember. if you place a bulk order you WILL get stung for the customes charges..

Small individual orders and some may get through.

I would be very very very interested with the all the add ons in the new ''version 2'' as it will have the full ipod control which is what i really want also, but if im 100% honest, it would be the january in the new year before I can afford it, maybe early February depending on my overtime.

Basic unit $345
+ DVB-T $45
+ TMC $40

Even if they charged the same delivery with DHL and added the $25 on to the price (for paypal costs), I would still be 100% willing to pay and go via that route.

Again, as said before I will gladly buy but I'd want the unit to be payed for via paypal after an ebay purchase.

Ive good confidence in the product as it seems everything we have wanted, and the company also, but ive been stung before purchasing items from China, so i'd like to be covered with paypal, insurance and everything.
