TV Series "Vera"
So there I was, having my teatime stroll along the prom, when I noticed a lot of activity outside one of our hotels. Tv vans, cameras & film crew scurrying about and............................................... .................................................. ........
Brenda Blethyn Apparently shooting scenes for the tv series "Vera" Had to ask a lady what it was all about as I've never heard of it. So that's George Gently & this, must be something about the NE coast |

At one time the programme was mainly set in Newcastle and Northumberland , it seems to be covering a bigger area now , it's even been as far south as Middlesbrough

Vera’s good
But the best tv police series in our area has to be Spender with Jimmy Nail. |
