Default Under bonnet pump

[COLOR="Blue"]Just thought i would let you know that just because your engine does not start after trying it for 3/4 times, it could be the under bonnet pump. NO. Not packed up,just not got a good electrical supply. This morning we were at ASDA, wife shopping, me guarding the limo. When swimbo came back, put everything in the boot, and tried to start the engine. Nothing for the three times i tried it. Remembered the last time it happened, and opened the bonnet and took the electrical plug off the top of the pump and pushed it on and off a couple of times. Guess what, it worked, started car and went home. After lunch, went out to pay some bills, and guess what, it would not start again. Did what i did before and put some Vaseline on the electrical connections on top of the ubp pump, and away we went. Tried it 4/5 times since and all ok again. Moral of the story:- Dont replace your ubp before you give the above a try. Twice in 6 years of ownership it has happened to me. /COLOR]
