I needed cover for myself, my wife and two kids so GEM were the best value.

The cover which includes that is £15 extra, which seemed not worthwhile for me, because it would be very unlikely I would need it and not a problem if I did - likely I would be better able and equipped than them, to fix it. I had no idea the homestart formed such an expensive part of a package. Chances of my breaking down within 1 mile of home, quite tiny for me, but I suppose they will get lots of call outs from people stuck at home with flat batteries and flat tyres.
