Great idea! I wish I had seen this before.
I have just fitted my lpg filler in the bumper just behind the o/s wheel on my 190.

I do hate fillers being fitted in the rear wings!

It wasn't mine, But it's so neat, I'm really pleased, but the best thing is you can fill up from either side.

yes - spent hours looking at it, the problem is the recess and the shaper of the plate - it won't sit down low enough to clear the trigger.

Plan B is to look at cutting a hatch in the plate (where 56 is) and hinging that...

no, if you get any panel and a cloth with thinners on you can wipe the finish off and get a smooth black plastic finis.

I tried with a bit of 1000 grade paper to create a finish, which I'll have another go at
