Drove to the seaside, took the dog for a five mile walk, then drove home.
Woke up wife following night shift, informed her we were going out for late lunch, ate lunch then drove home to feed dog offcuts from lunchtime steak. Following this, it was time for another walk, from which I've just returned, and time to flash up the kettle. Oh the car, it's outside waiting to be washed..........might be a job for tomorrow, or I might just take it out for a spin again Brian |

Did a 320 mile round trip to the welsh coast to do some work on our cabin. Great fast drive along the M4 in beautiful sunshine but not another 75 or ZT to be seen. Where have they all gone?

Today I stripped the rear window seal as there is a water leak in the boot which I narrowed down to one of the trim clips. From reading this forum I was reliably informed that I would break some of the clips when removing the seal. Well if you are very careful then the trim can be removed without damage.
Ive cleaned the trim clip area thoroughly along the bottom edge of the window and let to dry overnight. Tomorrow I will apply some sealant and refit the clips. On removal of the trim however Ive noticed that the window seal is showing signs of chrome through the black top layer. So my question is do I remove the black covering for a chrome finish or try to get a replacement seal? Are they available and if so how much are they?? Where do I get one from..

Ive only unclipped the bottom part to resolve the water leak but I suppose I could remove the lot and give it a quick spray. Thanks

Cleaned and touched up paint under the wheel arch, checked suspension nuts and bolts following replacement of wishbone and rear bush, replaced some of the arch liner fixings. I've found that you can repair those pesky plastic screwheads on the expansion fixings (the ones that round off the phillips indent)https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-DYQ100230 by heating a phillips screwdriver and inserting a new phillips indent, allow to cool, then the screw head is good to go (out or in) again!
EDIT: or:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVE...frcectupt=true Some things aren't worth repairing it seems! or maybe they are? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-xGenui...frcectupt=true
