This proves how many repairs are done by animals, things really don't need to be tightened by Goliath's big brother.
I performed some repairs to my vehicle last week, and everything was easy to remove and re-assemble because they were properly addressed in the past.
It is so unfortunate that cars get animaled, because it puts many folks off from performing their own basic repairs, thus costs become prohibitive when garages take the work on charging handsomely for it !

Hi Malcolm.
As luck had it the disc did not look to bad, so only pads were fitted this time round, next time the discs may have to be removed.

Hi Fred.
I did notice on this disc that the torx screw was rusted in as well, so that could be reason why yours would not budge.

Yup, that's how they go....and if anyone is still having an issue, looks like you've resorted to the age old ruse of using a manual centre punch on a nice flat bit of the remaining counter sunk head to 'persuade' the screw to unwind itself (that's anti clockwise if anyone wishes to try it...) - best used in conjunction with a 3-4lb club hammer, one smart clock and it should overcome any friction

Hi John.
I did not try to move it as it was rusted in, the damage is as found, also the discs looked to be fine, if it should need moving next time i will cut a slot into it then use flat bladed screw driver, that is after making sure I have a new replacement
