I dodged the Christmas telly to remove this little blighter.. it was just slightly past it’s best, removal was made worse by some ham fisted blighter rounding off a torx bolt when the pump was fitted.

Dropped the exhaust off Debs ZTT in preparation for replacing the split flexi pipe, I’ll have to change the turbo pipe too as two bolts sheared off when undoing them.

Don't you just hate it when that happens! especially when your bits are falling off due to the cold anyway!

Yes Mike, just got the exhaust on the floor and it started raining. Gave up then and went for a walk with the dog.

Drove the ZT to Redcar and back.

Looked at the general scruffiness of the car, chuckled and went indoors to watch TV and eat rubbish

Changed the turbo pipe on Deb's ZTT, fitted a new flexi pipe and took a trip to a Land Rover dealer in Norwich to pick up a thermostat gasket, unfortunately they didn't stock the gasket so ill be popping back tomorrow, plenty of folk looking over brand new Range Rovers though.

Drove to Trikeys and we had a chat break. Me from babysitting and him from repairing a certain party's poorly motor. Thanks Andy and Debs.

Finally got around to working on the PG1 gearbox for the MGF.
I got the intake and output shafts assembled with new bearings but
ran into a snag when I couldn't get the retaining nut on the input shaft
tight enough. The soft jaws on my vise just slipped trying to torque it to 110nm.
I will pop by the local machine shop tomorrow and see if they are open.

As for the ZT, it's still patiently waiting for me to change the front suspension arms. It will have to wait until the gearbox is back together though!

Both VIS motors replaced, balance flap and rod checked for free movement. Sounds great and running smoothly.
