Condensation in the rear silencer box. Exhaust heats up water turns to steam. Drill a 3mm hole at the lowest point and see how much water drains out. Self tapper in at MOT time. Job done.

Is there any particular smell to the smoke. Unburnt diesel fuel is white. My early One Ten Land Rover used to do it especially on overrun when cold. but given its a more modern vehicle its probably unlikely.

Second time was last week, was jump starting a diesel ZT and at idle same thing, just started smoking, lasted 5 minutes and then stopped.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Strange that it is only on these two occasions.

When I had my old 75 it used to do this when it was really cold outside. Had 2 injectors reading around 7-8mm3 on the T4. Swapped them and it sorted the issue. So you may have 1 or 2 injectors out of spec potentially.
