Oil Catch Tank V6 ?
I replaced the rubber pipe from the airbox to the inlet manifold as the old one was getting "soft". The (used) replacement was much thicker and stronger than the old one. I found a bit of engine oil collected in the folds of the old one. Perhaps I need a catch tank to keep the intake clean and dry? Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. Should keep the VIS motors dry too as I've just replaced mine??? My old bangers in the past would just burn it off and use it as upper cylinder lubricant!!!

I had a catch tank on my V6 Freelander. It collected a disgusting mixture of oil and condensate but the catch was that you would have to check it often.
If it fills up to the level of the pipes the engine runs like NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-. I was pretty good about checking it but every now and then I would forget and it would catch me out. Eventually I removed it and bought a pair of Byron's upgraded sealed VIS motors so I didn't have to worry about them getting contaminated..

I have used catch tanks on a number of engines in the past, I prefer a KV6 to run on its original breather set up, I have not seen any benefit for running a catch tank.
