Default Seat piping

Hi , I have a 2000 connoisseur SE. With double piped sandstone seats, which the piping is in bad condition, I can get hold of a good set of single piped seats and swap them over, would this decrease the value of the car , as not original .

I think that amongst serious enthusiasts originality is very important and so yes, for them it would affect the future value . However , I reckon that most potential buyers , not serious enthusiasts , are more interested in good condition and so for them it might even improve future value .
Toss a coin !
Guess it depends on are you going to enjoy the car for your own use or do you see it as an investment ?

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, Rovers are never worth much on the classic car scene anyway.

Plus with electric cars on the horizon any car with an ICE may become totally extinct anyway.

Enjoy it while you can.

You see cars with both single and double piping and I've never come across any reference to which style or any noticeable price difference. Mine is top of range with single piping and have seen plenty with lesser spec with double. My advice would be to go for the best quality seats you can find regardless of piping. Your car will be worth more than it is now if your seats are badly worn.
