2004 MG ZT 135 CDTi Auto*** Sold ***
2004 MG ZT 135 CDTI + Auto for spares or repair
111,000 miles I’m listing this ZT on behalf of a family member as it has developed some issues and they have decided to give up and buy a new car. It was owned by a close friend (and ex club member) who bought it used from an MG dealer in 2010, he then sold it to the current owner in 2012. The car is a high spec diesel with the following options: Factory 135 upgrade + pack Driver intelligence pack Sports leather with electric adjustment and driver’s memory Sunroof Powerfold mirrors Xenon headlights Webasto heater Harman Kardon audio system Electric rear blind Cruise control Additionally the car comes with: Factory MG floor mats Driver’s side cup holder Pre-project drive sunvisors ‘real’ leather armrest “MG Rover Group” number plates Kenwood radio with CD, Ipod and Bluetooth Rover Ron tuning box It’s in fair condition although has been a daily driver so it does have a few chips scratches and dinks. The interior is above average condition, given its age and mileage. It has had a number of maintenance items carried out: such as an upgraded fan resistor, new rear light seals, new suspension springs, intercooler ‘o’ rings. In 2012 the gearbox was rebuilt by a specialist. The front tyres were replaced before Christmas. There is a stack of bills and service history dating back to day 1. Issues There are two main issues with the car: The gearbox has begun to ‘thump’ into gear. This began around a week ago and the owner stopped driving the car immediately. It still engages reverse and drive and there are no error codes, but the shifts are really harsh. Prior to this the car drove perfectly. The heater has also stopped working. I believe this is due to a blocked heater matrix as one of the pipes are hot and the other is cold. The climate control shows no error codes. I also need to point out that the MOT expires at the end of February. It’s a real shame to see this beautiful car on the brink of being scrapped, for what could be two fairly simple fixes. Therefore if anyone is willing to take it on as a project, or wants the car for other means then it is available for £600. Please PM me for contact details, car is located in Hoddesdon, Herts.
