Twice I have lost a number plate due to heat of sun on car parked all day in Sunlight. Now use scews and caps to make sure on my smiley plate. best wishes Woolleysox

Lost smiley plates
Thanks Woolleysox. Think I'll go with the screws too. Shame but if one of these plates comes off and goes through someone's windscreen on a motorway it's not just the nuisance of a lost plate. Non-standard plate, insecure fixing? What size book are the busies going to throw at you?

If you're using screws, slightly elongate (horizontally) the screw holes in the plate. This will allow for heat expansion without buckling the plate
