Default starting problems 2.5 V6 petrol auto

sometimes when i try to start up i just get a click no engine turn over after a few tries she fires up i have checked the battery and all earth connection all ok now begining to think starter problem has anyone had this experience

It's a pretty common problem. First check the condition of the thin feed wire to the starter solenoid. The connector can get dirty and doesn't activate the starter properly. If that doesn't fix it, you may need to replace the solenoid contacts. There are contact kits on eBay for doing it.
