Please, go back to post 3 in this thread. RH or LH drive, follow the TB instructions (all it costs is a couple of cable ties and a bit of time working on the seat (best done out of the car) and all your troubles are sorted and it stays OEM. The original AMP plugs/sockets are top class aero grade stuff but the clip action combined with the seat adjusters is just a bit too electrically critical without the simple modification.

The plastic part that holds the electrical seat adjusters on my driver's seat is broken off - everything still works, but the buttons get pushed into the sill, resulting sometimes in the seat moving around on its own, if I take a bend too fast...
The light has been on for some time - I asked my garage before to fix it, but all they did was move the seat around, and the light went out - temporarily - but crucially was ok for the MOT. However, I now know that light on = no airbag, which is enough of a worry for me to get it sorted again soon! You should be aware of this!! My seat still resets to some other position every time I lock the car - even though all the memory buttons now have the same setting. Weird!

As in a post earlier these are the best connectors to use to solve the problem.

Interesting posts. This may explain why my airbag light is on since I changed the clutch, and had to move the seat fully back so I could check how full the clutch m/c was.

I agree, these connectors are great, never had an airbag light on since I fitted them.
