looking for information
not sure if this is allowed but i am trying to gain a bit of info on the 75 tourer i have just bought a bought it 3 weeks ago still waiting on the v5 to get it on the road it's a Rover 75 tourer diesel cdt auto it has 71400 on the clock reg is BL02 WSX it looks really nice but the longer it lies in the driveway i notice some rust i never noticed when buying it i never got underneath as i am not fit enough to go that low and get back up getting on in years hopefully i have nothing to worry about but maybey someone knows the car and could give me some info on it i would appreciate any information i could get thanks in advance

Hello -dont know the car - but the classic rust area on our cars are the rear sills around the jacking pads - if it is this area - you can get these for the repair

thanks for your reply that's exactly where the rust is and a little surface rust at the bottom of the rear number plate i've no doubt i'll find some more i haven't had it on a ramp yet Garry in Aberdeenshire said he would remap it for me as it's only 114bhp plus he would give it a health check and put it on the ramp to check underneath marinabrian also offered the same service once again thank you

Nice looking motor I remember seeing it for sale. Deep sea green interior, lovely. I have a CDT salon with a similar number, BL02 WPP. This was a press car as the service history is stamped MG Rover Press Garage, so being of a similar series yours might be as well? That one has always seemed particularly well screwed together.

thank you for your reply yes it's British racing green with deep sea green interior it has a factory fitted dvd player on the roof it is a stunning looking car hopefully any rust i come across will be minimal i have ordered a front grill for it as the existing one has plastic slats and the badge is set into a plastic centre piece i got an all chromed one from a breakers yard just waiting on delivery and looks like even i could fit it thanks again for your reply
