I take it you have two Duotones. What colour(s) was/were your original Duotone?
I have a Starlight Silver 75 and I was thinking about having the lower half painted Royal Blue. Are you aware of any other 75s painted that way?
Regards David
I have owned two Duotone 75's a saloon and a tourer, but I don't own either now.

All the factory Duotone's except one were offered with the darker colour above and a lighter colour below.
The exception was Gold over Bronze but none were built by MG Rover, although I believe someone has had one made long after the factory closed..

Thanks for that Ronnie.
I was thinking in terms of blue on the lower half and silver on the top half.

I remember this car being for sale a couple of years ago, and someone viewed and said there were a load of issues with it then. Can’t remember if it was you or someone else Brian.

That would be YAI Platinum gold over Spice Supertallic

And I know exactly where that car originated

These duotones are really not for me I'm afraid. Like the so-called 'premium bumper' I feel that this treatment has the effect of ruining the beautiful elegant classic lines of the car. The spice and gold combination especially does not do it for me - looks like it's been dunked in chocolate! Still, each to their own.

It's very striking in the top picture & l like it. From the front though, it's interaction with the lights & grille look decidedly odd.

I suspect this particular car would have been a better execution if it had been fitted with a premium bumper.

Subjectively speaking, I don't particularly like the colour combination, others, and particularly women oddly enough seem to love it , Sean calls his car Marmite for a reason

On saying that, at least it had a genuine MOT test I suppose

All the Duotones I have seen and all those pictured in this post, except the one in question, have lower bumpers and the sills painted in the lower body colour. This particular one has blue sills and lower bumpers, that seems at odds to me with what would be expected. Maybe someone with more knowledge could explain this.
