Think two lengths of 6 x 2 roughly 3" - 6" apart (or far enough to suit your jack), with some 2 x 2 screwed on top, over the whole width of the two planks, at the front and rear, to stop the trolley jack rolling off. Lift the jack over the 2 x 2 and place on the 6 x 2. If that wouldn't give you enough height, use 6 x 3 or 6 x 4 if you have enough height under the rear of the car. By careful positioning under the jacking point, this worked for me. Can't pic at the mo as the kit is under a load of rubbish!

No! The sills are not strong anywhere except the jacking points.

Just to be sure we all understand. My wooden structure goes under my trolley jack when used on the rear central jacking point, to give it extra lift. I then use axle stands with reinforced rubber inserts under the sill jacking points for stability.
