Iput one of these in my connie last week, didnt have the wiring loom but simply wired it to the cigar lighter and voila!!
Awkward bit was getting a switch with the connector plugged into the back of the switch! Looks great.

I find it one of the most useful things on the car, especially in winter with the low sun and on country roads at night when even the auto-dipping mirror isn't enough to stop some full beam saxo driver blinding you.

It's also very handy to dismiss those behind who tailgate despite a busy road meaning that driving any quicker whaostever is actually impossible. It's also a great thing to show off and seeing the shadowy figures of people pointing in amazement when you put it up is always nice.

It is a very easy job as I've repaired mine in the past which means taking it out. It is easily accomplishable within an hour for a novice as it's all logiclal removal of bits of trim that generally just pop on and off. The only slightly tricky part is feeding the parcel shelf back into place as the blind makes the shelf very, very rigid.

Be careful with the edge of the shelf impacting the near side of the car as when you're putting the shelf in it is quite easy to knock the rear screen wires away from the solder, but keep an eye on it and you'll save yourself some soldering later.

i got a new manual one for £14 last year .. ten mins to fit and works good .. not as cool as an electric one mind you
