mines a 99 model so an older one.
i have treated rust on the drivers side sill (bubbled up in three places). drivers side rear wheel arch lip all the way round. the fuel filler cap inside where there is a seam . i think mine may be unusual as there is no rust at all on passenger side. the car used to live by the sea and suspect that the car may have always been parked with the drivers side nearest the sea and has been attacked by the salt?? any way all been looked at now and treated so hopefully won't appear for a few years. |

If anyone is interested we negotiate a special discount deal with a company called Rustmaster that will give your car all the rust treatment you require.
You can read about it on the clubs web page, http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/inde...age=rustmaster |

This is my first posting as I am a new member.
I have had a look round my 2003 CDT for rust and its pretty good apart from the upper door trim at the very bottom. How did it manage to rust? Is it a major job to put right? How can I prevent it happening again? I waxoyled the underside last summer including under the wheelarches. I used a garden sprayer to spray allthe way up the front suspension legs and other hard to access areas although I couldn't do the inside of the sills, does anyone know who could do this in the Mansfield area or not too far away? I do have some scratches in the paint which I keep trying to polish out. The paint is worn along the rear of the drivers door edge so I'll have to touch it in to keep it from getting rust. |

Mine is pretty good, body perfect even, but oh, that exhaust pipe, it looks so manky, but it's been like that for 9 years !
Bits and pieces on the suspension are rusty as expected, and I had to have rear brake pipes last year. |

Just joined the club and reading the threads on rust. My 2003 CDT seems OK the the areas mentioned, ie, bootlid corners etc, although I have a small rust patch about quarter of an inch long at the bottom of the upper door trim and wondering what is the best thing to do to get rid of it.
I waxoyled the underside last year after I bought it using a paint brush and a garden sprayer for awkward areas. I took out the wheel arch liners as well to spray underneath. I am looking for someone with proper gear to waxoyl the inside of the sills, etc, hopefully not too far from Mansfield. |

Sorry, I didn't mean to repeat myself, I didn't think my first message had worked.
