Shouldn't worry about the cost as it will be his Insurance paying but be over £1K in parts etc OEM.
Paint and fit could make the bill get excessive for Insurance repair.
All bits are available but some may be on back order at present, dependant on MK1 or MK2. (Just seen 2006 so MK2)
If company try to write off fight it as not your fault and get a highest payment to be able to replace.
Secondhand parts will have you back on the road far cheaper, if stuck.
Sorry to hear of this Incident, never nice.

Thanks J.D.C mark 2 same as yours 06 reg with 40,000 on clock . Only part could not find price for is the bottom of the tailgate the plastic part that has ROVER on do not know if this comes with tailgate or not. This is my retirement car I have a new tailgate and bumper skin with my spares i have been collecting over the years .Do not want to use them would sooner let insurance deal with just in case this thing happens again when car is older and not worth so much .Car is still drivable so i could wait to come in to stock or sell them my parts and buy second hand parts as spare if i new trade price they would have to pay. Regards Alan

The ROVER letters are available separate never come with the Tailgate (I should still have some of these if you are going DIY route)
Will check EPC when home to see if part available and what come with it. (On nights at Mo)
