Then yellow engine light or as officially called Malfunction Indicator Light can give different warnings.

Short illumination: a temporary fault, no immediate action required.
Permanent illumination: a fault has occurred, vehicle has to be checked asap in a garage. There is no immediate danger for car or environment.
Quick blinking: there are one or more faults. The car has to be repaired immediately. Speed and load of the engine has to be reduced, preferably stopping engine. If the warning is ignored more damage can arise.

Good to see Ronnie again, fault code logged as catylyst related but nothing showed up when interrogated on T4 all sensors working and within spec.

MIL will extinguish after a certain number of drive cycles without the fault re-occuring, although it will log a fault code for the causes normally.

Using T4 you can normally look at a sub menu for the cause of the MIL but nothing was logged.

Hopefully the exceptional weather yesterday was to blame, if it re-occurres in similar weather conditions then that will positively identify the cause.
