Have only done this once myself Paul,
Not really for the Nano IMHO unless someone brings ramps, axle stands, or Trolley jacks, Oil Spill Granules and a T4 to monitor temperature for fluid change, but if you have the correct bits and someone likes lying on their back for a while........perfect. There are of course differences of opinion in way to drain, when, and if T4 should be used, but above just following the MGR method. Last edited by JohnDotCom; 2nd June 2010 at 21:42.. |

Doesn't the car have to be level for auto fluid change? Just wondering because if on ramps the car won't be... level that is? I once did an auto fluid change on a Renault 25... and wrecked the transmission so I'm not keen on doing the job on VeeKay unsupervised. |

Oops, the ramps I was on were er a four poster ramp......... (when brother was assisting out of hours at his garage) had four changes in total now.
When Lates first did mine I believe he managed with trolley jacks and stands. Of course if you are Thin, Fit and Young no jacks required.... Now where is Typhoon 190? Last edited by JohnDotCom; 2nd June 2010 at 21:44.. |

Yes, you need to be level. I have a slope on my drive that is just enough to get the car level again when on ramps (plus a small lift at the back from a jack).
You might avoid oil spills, but I got oil on the drive even though being careful. |
