Arrow NEC Classic Motor Show 2016 11th - 13th November

It gives us great pleasure to announce that after a year away The Rover 75 & MG ZT Owners Club will once more be attending
The Lancaster Insurance NEC Classic Motor Show at The NEC in Birmingham.

This three day event runs from Friday 11th November to Sunday 13th, and for anyone who hasn't been before it's quite something.
With over 10 halls full of classic vehicles to look at, and hundreds of car clubs displaying some excellent examples it really is worth a visit.
There are also a great many trade stands offering all manner of car and bike related items.

This year the Owners Club can be found in The Pavilion Hall on stand P1-515 along with many of the other Joint Rover Club's stands.

We have been allocated space to exhibit three members’ cars, two Rover 75s and an MG ZT-T,
and will again have items available from the club shop for sale,
a live forum connection for anyone wishing to browse or even sign up, and the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) will be available
if anyone wishes to look up a part number. Bring along your VIN number and we can look up your car's build date too .
We'd be delighted to meet anyone from the club who happens to be visiting the show, so please feel free to pop over for a chat.

The Cars On Show:

Firstly we have an immaculate and thoroughly pampered Royal Blue Rover 75 diesel saloon belonging to Jules,
which has lots of extra touches including walnut handbrake grip and matching centre console armrest lid,
as well as additional footwell lighting, passenger walnut trim stowage and a spotless engine bay.
The car has only covered 5,142 miles in its lifetime too.

Next, the truly historic first production Rover 75 tourer which was found quite by accident
by Sonic ZS in a breaker's yard ready to be scrapped. Paul has lovingly brought it back from the brink,
and we are delighted to have it on our stand this year for all to see.

Last but by no means least, representing the MG side of things, Fusilier's Monogram Poseidon ZT-T 180 SE
will be making a deserved appearance. Again this car has had hours of work lavished on it
and is a cracking example of a late ZT-T with all the toys including Black Oak Interior.
These two cars we hope will illustrate the progression of the tourer
from its earliest beginnings in Rover form to its later facelift styling in MG guise.

As you’ll have seen, we are lucky to have Jules and his expertise of all things 75 / ZT
on hand to help man our stand for the duration of the show,
so come and pick his brains

Now the best bit, the NEC are offering a club discount for entry on the Saturday and Sunday, when purchased in advance via their website or telephone hotline.

Usual entry price on the door is £24.50 per person, but by quoting discount code CSCMS16 you can save £5.00 with tickets costing just £19.50 the offer is limited to 4 tickets per member.

Hope you enjoy your time there. I was on the SD1 stand back in 2010 with my Vitesse. I believe that was the first year that the 75 club had their stand at the NEC

I was so busy on the stand I barely saw the rest of the show and have always wanted to return.

Maybe this year I will make it. I have a meeting to attend around the same time in Malta but it may be cancelled so if it is I will make the trip.

BTW I can recommend The White House guest house in Marston Green. It's just one station along from the NEC. I commuted from there the three days my car was on the stand.

I'll be going.

I'm really looking forward to seeing all of them but Jules's 75 and Sonic's tourer have me salivating

Default NEC Classic car show

Really looking forward to this event, car in my garage at home and making sure that it is up to standard for the club stand at the NEC, and I hope that it is good enough to represent the club
