If the wiring is in place, it lives under the rear parcel shelf....(not in the boot)

I have just added the speaker to my retro fit sensors and the plug was to the left of the rear parcel shelf, I was able to lift the parcel shelf cover up by removing the fixings with the back seat down and connect the plug to speaker and locate it on the shelf

Hi,sorry to hijack this thread.
I am also retrofitting paking sensors, but to Tourer.
I have set of sensors,ECU,cable harness between sensors/ECU and speaker.Where speaker should be located in Tourer, and is there also wiring readily in a car?
If i understand,ECU is located on right side of boot?
My car is 2001 Tourer Connoisseur CDT Auto

Regards
Jussi

If you have a very early tourer then you'll need the additional sounder, if you have the later tourer then the sounder is part of the instrument pack.

The ECU lives behind the panel in the load space area on the right hand side

I think this may be the parking sensor speaker http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-XQM101370

so if I have understood previous posts, if the ipk does not support parking sensors, I assume this means it does not have a sounder then the above sounder can be used, is that right?

kalrzy has given me some advice and said if your IPK starts YAC00**** then it will support PDC. if the ipk does not support parking sensor then a new ipk is required

it will have a sounder, but early ones did not support the PDC signal through the sounder.

Thank You Duotone,
Looks like ECU and speaker are located to same corner.
