Default Radio Connection

HI Guys, I have a question concerning replacing my standard radio with a symphony radio and 6* Cd holder...

I have read all the post concerning the K bus connection and this is my issue...

I have 2005 rover 75 and the issue is I am unable to locate the BMW connector as I have removed the radio/Air Con/Switches and the ashtray, but the connection is not there so I can't attach a cable to connection 7 on the BMW connection.

I have followed the wire and there seems to be a square connection behind the Control unit body...

Would this be correct???

If so how do I get to it do I need to remove the passenger airbag???

any info would be very helpful as my car looks like a scrapped car at the moment.

If it has the ISO connectors (2 x 8 pin), it only has 16 cables rather than 17 in the BMW connector. A Symphony and CD changer has connections for all 17, so the wiring may need some 'modifications'.

Hi Guys...

I have the standard Brown, Grey connections I also have the Green, Yellow and Blue connections... I have the K-bus wire ( red. white and yellow) coming from the CD changer connection to the blue ISO connection, I took that with the CD changer, The Changer powers on and checks for the CD's but I am unable to select CD on the Radio...
What wiring mods do I need to do to get this to work....

I know I need to work on the wiring for the Steering controls...will get to that later...

Car is a project for me to work on...getting the premium bumper for it next week.

The ISO connectors do not have the K-Bus connection, so one will need to be added.
In the O.E. Symphony loom there is a sealed joint in the cable from the BMW connector, with one cable going to the CD changer connector and one to the Symphony via the blue mini ISO connector - the Symphony needs that to communicate with the changer via the K-Bus.

If your car has ISO connectors behind the ashtray unit instead of a BMW connector, you will need an ISO to BMW adapter lead (not BMW to ISO) to use the Symphony loom, and add a cable from the K-Bus in the car loom to the K-Bus cable in the Symphony loom.

Does it end in 2 x 8 pin ISO connectors? If not, have another look near the bottom of the centre console unit space, at the back, behind the ashtray unit.
