Hot one side,Cold the other
Hi all,
i am in need of your expert advise if possible. the heater on my 2001 2.5 v6 75 is not quite right, when you put the heater to cold, even with the air con on, it is giving nice cool air from the drivers side vents, but the passenger side vents are blowing warm/hot air still. when i put the heater controls to hot it blows hot from both drivers and passenger sides. any ideas please, as i'm very new to the pleasure of these 75's, but am loving it thus far(3 weeks) many thanks Dave Last edited by GardO71; 3rd May 2010 at 15:22.. |

I would suggest checking the user maual to find if you have the system set to give the fault you are describing. I'm extremely green about the controls as I don't even have posession of mine yet but I did download the manual last night and read various functions that you could programme that sound similar to what you describe. I may be barking up the wrong tree at this early stage.
Have you got an additional set of temp buttons on the passenger side? If so.....dual climate spoils passengers.. Last edited by geesmith; 3rd May 2010 at 15:28.. |

Here you go (just searche rover 75 owner handbook...came from Rover.org)
http://www.roverclub.cz/storage/Rover75.pdf I think you'll be delighted. click on "save a copy" near the top left. The owners manual download link is also at the top of Technical help titled "really really useful tips" .... this site hasn't been idle! Much much more in that thread... I'm off for a read. thanks for the link geesmith.
i've had a quick glance at it but can find no reference to the problem i'm experiencing, it is the ATC version but i've tried all the settings to no avail. even if i set the temp controls to equal value ie ' LO ' it still gives warm air to the passenger side, it's not hot air, just warm. i was wondering if there was some sort of flappy thing which may not be moving fully to allow cold air to be dispensed. |

Drat, sorry to hear that and I'm afraid my assistance runs dry there.
I was hoping that you would find the twin set of temp controls on the passenger side of the climate controls and that would solve it. it does sound like something is adrift or seized. Last edited by geesmith; 3rd May 2010 at 16:39.. |

Ok, i've just this minute run the ATC climate control diagnostics checks, it is 2200 GMT so i think 2 off the 3x faults are irrelevant namely 21 and 22 as it is dark lol, but i think my main problem is the code 31
what do you think??? the codes i'm getting are: 21 - Sunlight sensor, left output open or short circuit no solar heating correction 22 - Sunlight sensor, right output open or short circuit no solar heating correction 31 - LH temperature servo motor open, or short circuit, motor or flap mechanism seized, servo motor locked in position. where will i find this LH temperature servo motor or flap??? |
