Default A proper Double Din adaptor at last!

Well check this out folks.

Looks fantastic and at 20 quid thats a shed load cheaper than the BMW option. I will be buying one next Friday me thinks and trial fitting it.

Have we finally found the solution to those of us wanting a flush fitting unit without a DIY botch job!

Looks very good.

I'm wondering how it secures at the lower edge.

DIY job maybe, botch job is all down to skill and dexterity.

I cannot see how an XTrons unit will fit, as I had to cut the top out of the original in the pic above, so have others, so it may need some modifying anyway. But at £20 who cares, cheaper than a second hand original, if as Raistlin mantioned the bottom hooks onto the edge of the console opening. Good luck, I hope your double DIN fits.

A good find at a good price, quality seems equal to original

When it's covered with walnut veneer, who can tell?

also on my home made one the top had to be cut out too, by, it looks a berre fit as these have a recess around the edges, mine is ordered and will be installed for the fathers day rally, the aperture will fit its just the wallnut lip. bargain price tho.
Stephen i noticed you havent user the stereo surround plate either, dont you think it looks a little unfinished that way, i ummed n arred for ages weather to do it that way, but in the end i had the top of mine sitting out a bit, made some sides and covered in sticky black vynil to hide the metal case, looks a little neater, am hoping these new ones allow for the surround plate

On closer examination of the photograph it seems to have a locating flange all the way along the lower edge

I'll find out soon enough

Yes. Looking at it on a decent monitor rather than a netbook screen I agree.
