Default Any views on buying this to try and get back on the road?

This looks tidy enough, any views on how to repair or how much it may cost?

To me the starting price is to high for a car with that amount of ills.
If it needs a engine and bodywork sorting,
Could be in for some high bills,
also no idea on condition of Gearbox.

think you may be right, without good mechanical skills it could end up being a money pit, maybe i'm just too desperate to be a two rover family

i would bother ,as would make good second car ,and perhaps head gasket has gone ,anyway worth buying and striping down to have a look ,cant be too much as the engines are not too bad for reliability and just seem to suffer from NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- stick on bits like pumps and sensors ...

If your looking for a project this low mileage diesel tourer is worth a look, the owner is stating HGF which is unheard of in the diesel engine, you can bet he has been told this by some backstreet mechanic who hears MG/Rover with oil in the water and automatically thinks its HGF,its a bargain at £500 as it probably just needs an oil cooler. The cars worth around £3.5k.

If you were to buy it then it probably wouldn´t be a problem, but not everyone has your skills
